Unwilling to accept the notion that this significant parcel of property, perched above downtown Portland, Oregon, affording breathtaking views across downtown to Mt Hood was unbuildable, land planning and design took nearly two years for this residential project described as an Italian Hilltown. Extensive shoring of the land and the inclusion of the first known heated road designed to eliminate access issues during Portlands icy winters allowed for the construction of 110 luxury residential units with views that were the envy of those unable to get in line quickly enough to secure a reservation.
