Leschi Lakecenter - Seattle, Washington

The only comprehensive commercial project located on the western shores of Lake Washington, Leschi Lakecenter had been the premier landmark marine entry point to and from eastern King County before the floating bridges were built across the lake. From the period beginning around 1900 Leschi hosted ferries from the east side and public recreational facilities for the passengers as well as the people who maintained summer homes, and later the permanent residents of the area.

At the time the property was acquired the center had fallen into disrepair. Through a process of careful land-use and architectural planning the project was entirely redeveloped into several buildings totaling over 80,000 square feet, which includes four restaurants, first-class view office, retail stores and a 115 slip marina.

23rd & Flanders/George Apartments - Portland, Oregon

Combining two building lots with incompatible zoning into a precedent-setting mixed-use facility, this project drew wide-ranging praise from both the public and private sectors. A Portland newspaper feature editorial referred to it as the prototype of how public/private projects should be built. Architecturally significant design provided two story glass retail spaces, which commanded the highest rental rates in the city together with urban townhouse living above. The project was noted for the privacy afforded the residents who enjoyed their own urban “lane” that meandered along the entries to their living units, two stories above the street. In addition, the opposite corner of this important Northwest Portland intersection was further developed with an instantly popular restaurant as well as a medical office facility, supporting the neighboring regional hospital.

SODO Properties-Seattle Washington

With an eye toward future development within the close-in transition SODO neighborhood south of downtown Seattle and the major league football and baseball stadiums, several former industrial properties have been converted to retail use. Located along First and Fourth Ave South these former industrial properties are now locations for a variety of restaurants, retail/wholesale outlets, distribution centers, grocery and even the famous New Siren Tavern. The Leavitt Capital SODO properties will undoubtedly be an integral part of the continuing neighborhood redevelopment.
