In a successful joint venture with the hotel operator, five Residence Inn Hotels were developed in the Pacific Northwest, including the early such long-stay product in a downtown environment. The Residence Inn model was the pioneer in long-stay hotel concepts, a concept later embraced by most major hotel companies. Site selection and financing were the focus on these projects, which were the first of their type in the Pacific Northwest.
